The Best Time of Year to Move in Cyprus

Cyprus has 320 sunny days a year — but that doesn't mean every day is good for moving. Here's when to book if you want the smoothest, cheapest, fastest experience.

Best months: October–November, March–April

Mild temperatures (18–24°C), low rain, fewer tourists clogging the roads. Movers have more availability and prices are at their lowest. If you can choose your dates, choose these.

Worst month: August

Furniture sweats, movers tire fast, and half the country is on holiday. Expect 35–40°C heat and longer move times. If you must move in August, start at 6 am.

Worst week: the last week of every month

Rentals end on the 30th/31st. Demand spikes. Prices go up 10–20% and the good crews are booked solid.

Best day of the week: Tuesday or Wednesday

Friday afternoons and Saturday mornings are the busiest. Mid-week moves get you the fresher crew and the cheaper rate.

Time of day

  • Summer: 6:00–11:00 (before peak heat).
  • Winter: 8:30–13:00 (lighter traffic, drier roads).
  • Avoid 17:00–19:00 — Limassol and Nicosia traffic is brutal.

Book 3–4 weeks ahead

Last-minute is possible (we do same-day moves all the time), but to lock in the best price and your preferred date, give your mover 3–4 weeks of notice.
