Declutter Before You Move: The 7-Box Method

The 7 boxes

Set up seven labelled boxes in your living room before you start:

1. Keep — moves with you.
2. Sell — has resale value (Bazaraki, Facebook Marketplace).
3. Donate — clothes, kitchen items in good shape.
4. Gift — specific items for specific friends/family.
5. Recycle — paper, electronics, batteries.
6. Bin — broken, stained, expired.
7. Decide later — limited to one box, total.

The room rotation

One room per day. 60 minutes. Timer on. Hold each item and put it in a box — no putting back on the shelf.

The "365 day" rule

If you haven't used it in the last year and wouldn't actively go buy it tomorrow, it goes. This single rule clears more clutter than any organisational system.

Where to actually donate in Cyprus
